Walk with
Murray
A daily, small-group pack walk with Murray the Cockapoo
I’ll be honest: my dog Murray needs some new friends. The fleeting exchanges of butt sniffs on Seventh Avenue aren't cutting it for him anymore. He's desperate for more meaningful, lasting canine companionships.
COME WALK WITH US!

And so I founded Walk with Murray, a not-so-subtle initiative to find some furry pals to join us on our daily walks and off-leash frolics in Prospect Park.
Maybe your dog is also a fluff monster in search of new friends and long walks in the park? If so, come walk with us! Our small but mighty pack (5 dogs max) will collect your pup every day and return the little guy or gal to you after a fun and tiring stroll in the park.

THIS COULD BE YOUR PUP

-
How much does it cost to join the pack? One walk with the pack is $30.
-
Will you take my dog off-leash?That's the goal! Murray plays fetch off-leash in the park every day (I'm his go-to ball tosser.) Fetch is an amazing way for dogs to get exercise and play with each other. Plus, Murray shouldn't be the only one having all that fun! That said, building up to off-leash with a new dog takes time, and a focused plan. There will be a substantial on-leash, lead-up period in which I'm checking your pup's recall and focus. I won't take your dog off-leash unless I'm 100% confident that it's safe to do so.
-
How long will my dog be with you?Your pup will be in the park walking/running for 30-45 minutes. However, due to the time required for pickup, drop-off, and the walk to and from the park, your dog will be with me and Murray for between 60-90 minutes.
-
What time will you pick up my pup?In the fall, winter and most of spring; pickup time will be between 1-2 p.m. In the summer, pickup time will be either early morning or late afternoon, depending on what works best for the pet parents. The pickup time will be different in the summer to ensure the safety of the dogs by avoiding the hottest part of the day.
-
How many dogs will be joining my pup on the walk? There will a maximum of 5 dogs joining the walk. Murray needs a few new friends; he's not trying to field a soccer team.
-
What if I want my dog to go for just a short walk in the neighborhood? If you're not interested in your dog joining the long walk to the park, or if your dog doesn't thrive in an off-leash environment, your pup can still join us for a shorter walk in the neighborhood. Be in touch; I'm sure we can figure out a solution!
-
For how long have you been a dogwalker?I've been walking dogs since I was 7 (I'm now 39 so...32 years of walking dogs!). I started walking dogs in Brooklyn in 2022, when I moved here with my dog, Murray. Previously, I've walked dogs and dogsat for a number of my friends and family in BK, D.C., and NJ. You can also find me volunteering as a dogwalker at the Sean Casey Animal Shelter in Brooklyn.
-
Does my dog have to walk with you every day?Murray and I would love to have your pup join us for every walk. However, we understand that things come up, or maybe you simply think that 5 pack walks a week would be too much for your little guy or gal. Not a problem! We do, however, require a minimum of 2 walks per week.
-
Can you provide references?Of course! I want—nay, need!—you to feel comfortable with me taking care of your furbaby. I know how nerve-wracking it can be to deliver your pup into the arms of another human. You need to trust me, and I'll do everything I can to earn your trust: references, a meet-and-greet, a practice walk, etc.
-
What happens if the weather is lousy? The primary purpose of the pack-walk is to give your dog the exercise and socialization that they otherwise wouldn't have. If it's pouring rain, or if it's 15 degrees—or 95 degrees!—well, then, it's no longer fun, or safe in some cases, for your dog to be outside for an extended a period of time. In the event of extreme weather, I'd still make myself available to walk your dog, but the pack-walk would be canceled.
-
Do you dogsit?Murray and I dogsit, but in most cases, your dog needs to be a member of the pack. At the very least, in order to ensure a safe and friendly environment in my apartment, your dog and Murray would have to meet to see if they get along. Murray is a very gracious host.
